8. Data Retention

We don't keep data forever. Retention periods depend on the type of data:

  • Newsletter subscribers: Until you unsubscribe. After unsubscription, data is deleted within 30 days.
  • Analytics data: Google Analytics retains data for 14 months (our current setting). Aggregated reports may be kept indefinitely.
  • Account data: If you create an account, data is kept until account closure, then deleted within 60 days.
  • Legal records: Financial records (invoices, contracts) are kept for 7 years to comply with UK tax law.

After retention periods expire, data is securely deleted or anonymized. Backups may retain data for an additional 90 days before permanent deletion.
